here's a question

Hi there. Here's today's "Beyond Pretense" question:

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love?"

Hint: grab your Bible and read Romans 8:35-39

Can you love me?

Hi everyone. I'm just getting ready to go to bed. Before I sign off let me leave you with the following thought:

Can you love me as I am when the ugliness shows?
Can you love me as cursing I deal you blows?
Can you love me as I knife your back?
Can you love me as I launch an attack?

Can you love me when I cause you pain?
Can you love me when I betray you again?
Can you love me when I spit on you?
Can you love me when I say, "I hate you?"

If you can do that then maybe I'd see the one who hung on Calvary's tree.
If you can that then maybe my pride would be pierced through like His hands and side.

So what do you say?
Are you ready to come my way?
Understanding the cost, would you willing die,
Like the one you say is your God and guide?

Hi there. This is my new blog "Beyond Pretense." As you might suspect, I'm not altogether beyond pretense... but it is something I'm striving toward.
